On my YouTube channel (@BellaCasaScott) and Instagram page (@BellaCasaScott), I post weekly short video Episodes in an ongoing series to share my "finds" of home decor and antiques from Evolution Home, which is located in the West End of Alexandria (861 S. Pickett St.) next to Aslin Beer and Habitat for Humanity. Follow Evolution Home on Instagram @evolutionhome.
If you are shopping for great choices in home decor or antiques in Northern Virginia, Evolution Home is most definitely a place to visit. Often. Really Often. In my experience, EH offers the best vintage shopping in Alexandria.
Episode 30 showcases the find from my Christmas Eve trip to Evolution Home. A wooden bar cart with inlaid Brass details. The Brass details on the handles and the lower shelf were black with oxidation and grime. A little friction and Brasso did the job. The cart cleaned up beautifully. I have been looking for a wooden bar cart to match my interior design style for a long time. Most carts are Mid-century modern style. If you can even find one in good condition. Finding a wooden bar cart with such intricate Brass details is a 5 run home run for me.
The cart is topped with a black and gold footed metal tray from EH. 4 of the 7 decanters come from EH. The inlaid box on the lower shelf is also a recent EH find. This beautiful box will be an upcoming Episode.
Another successful trip to Evolution Home. In my experience, there is no other kind of trip to Evolution Home.
